THE NEED FOR GRATITUDE

A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a disease which made him unable to pee. The doctors told him he needed surgery to correct the problem. He agreed as the complication had given him severe pain for days. When the procedure was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs.
After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor said "There's no need to cry sir, if the cost is too high for you we could make some other arrangements."
The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money, I am crying because God let me pee for 70 years and He never sent me a bill!"
There are many things we tend to take for granted. Have you thanked God for His countless blessings today?
SOME THOUGHTS FOR TODAY:
ON HANDLING THE HURTS OF THE PAST- (I) If you are depressed you are living in the past; if you are anxious you are living in the future; if you are at peace you are living in the present. The past is a waste paper, the present is a newspaper and the future is a question paper
* The answers you put into the future will determine the results you get.
(II) When bad things happen in your life you have three choices and can act in any of three ways. You can let the bad things define you, destroy you or strengthen you.
* Unforeseen circumstances occur every now and then; some of such circumstances come as adversities and stuff that are not pleasant. They happen with everyone, and when they do only champions rise to the top using their challenges as stepping stones.
ON EXPECTATIONS:
(I) Honesty is very expensive. Do not expect it from cheap people.
* Learn that trust is what people must qualify for. Give some of it in faith but only open the entire storehouse after a person has proven he deserves the trust.
(II) Our eyes are placed in front of our heads because it is more important to look ahead than to look back.
* What do you expect to see? Things that have come or things that will come? It's okay to think about things that have come (stuff in the past) only if you will use them as a springboard to the future,
